Fronted by Cesar ‘Saro’ Bañares, Mike Pillora, Lolita Carbon and later Pendong Aban, ASIN was the folk-rock supergroup of their time. They cemented their status as the most influential band of their time with the release of their seminal 1978 album “ASIN” under Vicor
Records’ Ugat label.
The Vicor classic vinyl reissue of the “ASIN'' album also highlights deep cuts from the band that includes the working-class themed “Mga Limot Na Bayani,” and their take on the massive hit “Anak.” All this adds to the lore and fact that as a folk-rock band, no one comes close to ASIN.
